My Android TV always had this problem with rebooting itself every morning. It worked like clockwork. Whenever we turned on the TV, it rebooted itself immediately. It had been like that for quite a while. One day, a system upgrade solved this “reboot” problem. But then, another trouble arose. YouTube did not register our sign-in, i.e. we signed in to our premium account with no password error. However, the system did nothing, and ads were still showing. We thought, maybe wait a few weeks; a new update would solve this sign-in problem.
Many gurus tell people to use Google Store to delete/update/repair YouTube. But our Google Store complained “something went wrong” and could not open. Google Store is a system app which is not allowed to remove. Some other gurus suggest that people could delete and restart the cache to solve the issue. Haven’t we all tried that before searching for a better solution? It didn’t work either.
One final method is to go for a “reset” option. Delete data, reset the TV to the factory default setting, get system updates, and reinstall all the required apps. This option sounds straightforward. However, after the “reset”, would system updates bring back the frequent reboot or sign-in problem? Nobody knows till we try. Luckily, after the “reset”, YouTube and Google Store are working.
