How did I find PlanetHoster? PlanetHoster is one of the cool guys who support Let’s Encrypt, I found them from this list. PlanetHoster provides certain features which you won’t find in other shared hosting packages.
1. Multiple cPanels – For the price of a shared hosting package, you get more than one cPanel. For many people, they prefer having a reseller account, not because they actually plan to resell anything, they just want to distribute their domains among different cPanel accounts. How many cPanels do you get? The basic package costs $9.9 a month, you get 8 CPU, 16 GB RAM, and 16 MB/s I/O. The minimum requirement of one account is 1 CPU, 1 GB RAM, and 1 MB/s I/O. In my case, I upgraded a bit and created 6 cPanels account, each with 2 CPU, 4 GB RAM, and 4 MB/s I/O, it’s now $14.84/month, it’s still cheap compared to others. You can get a maximum of 192 CPU, 512 GB RAM, and 512 MB/s I/O, then the monthly fee will be $276.75.
2. Multiple IPs – If you don’t really need a static IP, and just want a different IP for your different websites, you should check this out. They call it IPextension, you can assign a different IP address to each of your websites. The interface is in French, but it isn’t hard to figure it out. Some people suggest that this is useful for SEO, well, I don’t know, you can try and see if it works. According to the package description, they offer 1000 additional IPs for you to choose from.
3. 100 Number of Processes – Last time, we compared cPanel stats between A2 Hosting and FastComet. A2 Hosting: I/O usage 2.44MB, IOPS 1024, Entry Processes 35, Physical Memory Usage 2GB, Number of Processes 50. FastComet: I/O usage 6MB, IOPS 1024, Entry Processes 40, Physical Memory Usage 6GB, Number of Processes 60. What about PlanetHoster? In this case, I have 6 cPanels, each cPanel has I/O usage 4MB, IOPS 4096, Entry Processes 50, Physical Memory Usage 4GB, Number of Processes 100.
I think I searched enough this year. For now, PlanetHoster is simply the best web host.
